You said, “Yes!” You’re incredibly excited to get married. You and your significant other dream of a beautifully decorated venue, professional invitations, lush florals, live music, stunning photographs and videography, a warm-hearted officiant, and a wedding planner who is always one step ahead of you. You want one of your most significant life events to be memorable, and yes, Instagram worthy! But, then…your love-filled hearts sink when you realize that you don’t have $30,000 in your hip pocket, the average cost for a standard wedding. And even then, you might have to cut some corners and nix live entertainment or a memorable wedding video. It’s truly both a financial and logistical burden for most, no matter how much you may try and cut corners.

This is why White Rabbit Events, together with a dream team of vendors who’ve been published in numerous editorials, including Wedding Bells and A Princess Inspired, have come up with a creative, eco-friendly, cost-sharing option for engaged couples who are on a budget, but do not wish to sacrifice the important, dream elements on their wish list. As an added bonus, our couples can sit back and relax, savouring the engagement process, because they don’t have to plan a thing, except perhaps a romantic honeymoon with all of the money they will have saved on their wedding and reception.

This is not your average ‘pop-up’ wedding. Yes, pop-up weddings have recently gained in popularity, and can be great for those who are looking for a unique ceremony venue for in and around 20 guests. But perhaps you want more… a heck of a lot more!

What is included in our micro weddings?

  • Full and comprehensive ceremony and cocktail reception planning for a wedding of up to 50 guests.
  • Two-hour duration from start to finish. (A three-hour, premium, evening time slot with a live band is an option. Surcharge for entertainment and one hour extension: $1,500)
  • Detailed and Comprehensive Itinerary Premium Ceremony seating Licensed Officiant (Includes one meeting prior to the wedding event and personalized vows are optional)
  • Florals for ceremony and reception as well as 1 bouquet and 1 boutonnière (or alternatively, two of each if preferred) Additional bouquets and/or boutonnière’s may be purchased
  • Photography (Approximately 100 edited photos)
  • Videography (3-5 minute ceremony & reception highlight reel)
  • Digital Invitations (Paper upgrades available)
  • Custom calligraphy welcome sign
  • DJ or live band (available time slots provide options for both and are incorporated into the applicable fee structure)
  • Elegant Décor with vintage touches: Table and seating mixture of rectangular and cocktail tables with a beautifully decorated sweetheart table for the couple, settee conversation area, cake table, guest signing board, card holder, linens, cutlery, candles and miscellaneous décor.
  • An 8’ appetizer (grazing) table, consisting of cheese, charcuterie, antipasto, including: grilled vegetables, pickles, dips, fruits, sweets and treats and milk shooters with cookies.
  • Small cutting cake & cupcake combination, beautifully presented on a 3-tier platform
  • Smart serve bartender A glass of champagne will be provided to each adult guest and a mixture of non-alcoholic beverages will be available. Additional alcohol, including a custom cocktail, can be made available as an upgrade. A full or partial cash bar is also an option
  • Liquor and event licenses
  • Set-up and tear-down
  • A certified Wedding Planner will be onsite for the duration of your event to ensure your special day is everything you dreamed it would be.

Who would micro weddings be suitable for?

Couples that:

  • would love to get married within the next three to six-months
  • are hoping for a wedding with traditional elements but a budget of $30,000 is outside of their financial comfort zone.
  • have a smaller guest count of 30 to 50 (Perfect for an intimate wedding with close family and friends, or a signing ceremony if eloping)
  • would appreciate not having to worry about any of the planning details other than inviting their guests with a provided invitation, and obtaining a marriage license

What is the cost?

Our comprehensive micro-wedding packages are $6,000. Additional food, cocktails, bouquets/boutonnieres may be purchased, outside of what is include in our standard package. Please contact for a no obligation quote based on your unique requirements.

How is this pricing possible?

We source and secure premium venues with available short-term dates that might otherwise not be booked. As we will be hosting up to four weddings on the same day, many beautiful elements can be utilized by all, therefore we can pass along substantial savings to our couples. This ties into our commitment to minimize our ecological impact.

Michelle Leroux, WPIC Certified Wedding Planner and stylist, loves to create an extraordinary and memorable experience for her couples and their guests. By taking the stress away from the planning process and drastically reducing costs, it allows the focus to remain where it should be, on the marriage and celebration of two people in love. White Rabbit Events offers a variety of customizable planning and coordination services for intimate, mid-sized or grand weddings, corporate events and social gatherings. With creativity, a myriad of resources at hand and your budget in mind, she will work hard to bring your vision to life. She firmly believes in equality and is excited to work with ALL couples! Love is love and diversity is something to be celebrated! So regardless of whether your wedding is: traditional, non-denominational, non-religious, interfaith, intercultural or LGBTQ+, she would be honoured to help create one of the most incredible days of your life. Jillian Penney, owner and designer of Jaye Designs, specializes in modern wedding & event stationery and calligraphy. Her journey into this amazing industry all began as a passion project after planning her own wedding. After creating the stationery & signage, she dreamed of one day being able to help others create unique pieces for their events too! She graduated from Ryerson University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Design in Fashion. After 10 years in the fashion industry, she uses that knowledge to channel her creative energy into her passion for style, art, stationery and hand lettering. Her work has been featured alongside other amazing vendors in publications such as Event Source, Let’s Bee Together, Every Bride, Bridal Guide, Wedding Bells and many more!
